Mother nature has given the best ride of them all - Earthquakes  laugh We just had a fairly large on right were I live, which is usually normal for the state. Except this one was different. This quake lasted for quite a long time. It was registered 5.6 on usgs.gov. It was weird as I could hear it coming moved to my family and said "Earthquake!!" and they were like "HUH??" and then a few seconds later it hit. The motion seemed to roll back and forth, almost like a good wooden coaster feel  Shocked Then it began to move in what seemed to be a circular motion as it was moving side to side  Grin I would say this motion lasted atleast 30-60 seconds which is fairly long for an earthquake. I just love earthquakes  Grin To bad there is not an 'earthquake' coaster or ride of some type  lmao woohoo!  Anyways, what types of 'natural disasters' do ya have or experienced??

the worst ive ever been near is when I was visiting my Dad in Florida. I believe several hurricanes passed by, but they wernt nearly close enough for us to evacuate.

Slept through some earthquakes and tornado's, so I would say the worst "natural" disaster for me was waking up afterwards and finding out I was the only one that didn't wake when it happened idiot

BTW I love Storms and Quakes very interesting they are to me Wink

I can see you points lol!

But at the same time you gotta remember these things are not fun for some, they are life changing experiences!

Personally I quite enjoy thunder storms, but England has always been a quiet place for disasters!
We are quite lucky!

In my life time we have only ever had one tornado, and only a few roofs got ripped of.

Earthquakes can be a disaster, but yet fun. I was living in Cali when we had the huge 7.0 quake in '89, and that was a disaster Sad I guess I should have said that any earthquake below 5.0 or so is fun while the rest suck Shocked  lol  Luckily there was no major damage reported in todays quake. It was a 'roller' and not the type that jumps up and down, now those are the crazy ones :p

Oh i was not denying they can be fun for an individual, just that some people find them a whole lot less fun! I can fully see where you are coming from!

I've been in enough Hurricanes to not consider them fun at all. It's getting close to hurricane season now... Place your bets... Whose homes are going to get flattened... Hopefully not mine. I'm already working 2 jobs and you can't count on the insurance companies or the government... especially this govt.....
