Entrance Tutorial
By: adamb241

In this tutorial, I will explain how to make a simple entrance using only three basic sets. It can be used in any park. It uses mostly Cat-Fish-Cove pieces so it has a western look to it.

Sets needed to make the entrance:
•   Shy-Guy’s Catfish Cove Set
•   Aceana’s Pavement Essentials Expanded
•   LG-Harbor Sets
•   Aceana’s New Street Elements

1. First clear a 9x9 space. Then place path, use the picture below to aid you on were to place path. Lower a 7x3 slab of land two levels, to make a space for a pond.

2. Place three ticket booth pieces into the three open slots between the paths. (Building Instructions Below.  Key-*)

*Building instructions*
1. Place two “Light Hard Wood Floor” pieces next to each other.
2. Use five *Rustic Walls” 4H pieces around the sides, leave one side open.
3. For the last side use one “Rustic Wall” 1H piece for the base. Then place an “Open Window” piece on top of the base piece. Then finally place another “Rustic Wall” 1H piece on the top of the window.
*IMPORTANT*
Place the windows side facing away from your park as shown above.

3. Next add “Rustic Wall” 1H pieces to connect all of the little ticket booths. (This will help support the roofs.) Add the slanted roof pieces until all of the booths are connected/covered. Add the 1H slanted triangle piece to the ends to fill in the gap between the roof and the walls. Add the roof siding to cap off the ends of the roof. Add the fences from Shy-Guy’s Catfish Cove Set. Surround the entire perimeter of the paths. Finally place 2H “Bedrock Wall” pieces inside your hole to make the sides look nice. This makes the pond you are making look nice.

4. This next step is all dedicated to detail. First, add three hanging signs to the entrance walkways. You can also make your own one. These make the entrance looks realistic. Time to add some windows and vents. Add two windows to each end, Place shutters around them. Then one space above them add a vent. Repeat to each side. (Vents go in-between the windows.) On the side facing the park, add windows and shutters. Use the picture below for help if you are confused. Finally add wooden overhangs from the Catfish Cove Set above each of the windows.

6.  For this step add some plants using LG-Harbor Sets. Add lily pads and reeds. It will add some life and color to your entrance. Fill it with water and your pond is finally done. (LG-Harbor Sets can be found in the plant section under generic.)

7. Using Aceana’s New Street Elements add benches, lights and trash bins around the paths. I added the information/photo spots in front of my pond. It makes it look more interesting if you ask me.

8. Your entrance is completed! Now you can add trees, other buildings, rides or anything else you can think of. Thanks for reading my Tutorial. Hope to see it in use somewhere!

that's a nice building..

.. my first thoughts:  there are no actual entrance pieces.. (the ones that you can click on to open or close the park)
you've used a bit to much lightposts if you'd ask me

other than that, it has a nice authentic feel to it!  Smiley (added a smilie, so you don't think I'm a jerk)
