well, all you have to do is make one model, but give it different heights and placement options. Like it could be 4H, and center tile, which would fit most trees perfectly, and I can always set random size too.

I was thinking about this.. There would need to be a starting and end point of the leaves... how would the leaves do this? Once they hit the ground would they just continue to fall below ground level? I imagine there would need to be a trigger to stop them so how. With other particle effects, it seems easy as smoke can just dissipate over time, but the leaves are solid objects.. Im also thinking that the leaves can be separate objects that are placed after a tree is placed. This way the leaves dont need to be 'attached' to a tree model, thus saving time. Plus, not having them attached to a tree will also keep ones park from being 'flooded' with leaves, ie I could just place the falling leaves effect on every other tree or every 3rd tree etc.

This is a little off topic, but I had experimented with 'clouds' yesterday. Here is my first go - http://i192.photobucket.c...15/bridgepiece/clouds.jpg - they are very rough and fairly poly intensive (230 or so in SU) Perhaps these two ideas could be combined into one 'Seasons' CSO set? The set would include the leaves, clouds, and perhaps any other 'weather' or 'season' effect we can add..

The leaves work fine. they are animated too. As for the height and when to stop dilema, I aranged them according to how long/high they are. (1H 2H 3H etc.)
I just need to fix some stuff up.

I was thinking that too! hmmm.....

1. I can do lights but not particle effects, whenever I try it crashes my game! In my road set currently I had roadworks and was hoping to have a dust particle effect!

2. Bridge the clouds look ok, personly I think you should try to find a cloud texture rather than make the transparent but other than that ok!

3. Particles disapear one they go under the landscape don't they? If not what happens to nuclearfishes waterfalls and fountains?

5. I can't count, as I missed out 4 haha!

You're right..ish.
When they go under the landscape, they are still there, but you just cant see them. In NF's stuff, it's based on height, so where the box is, thats where the PE ends.

For the dust effect, how big do you want it? I could make it for ya.
