I fully agree with Cfreak on this 4 templates is more than enough mates, templating the site and the forum is quite time consuming and complicated I think 4 templates are plenty and completely avoids the religious questions and everything else.

I know All Hollows Eve is a Pagan holiday the reason I was considering it, is its one of the few holidays celebrated worldwide among almost everyone. However I like the 4 seasons Idea much better, one its simple with nothing to argue about, two 4 extra templates is not so hard to pull off

Your image is a good base to work toward though and might work we'll see when I have time to work on this

its a good idea and if it would be possible ( which it is on other sites i seen it on) to have snow falling from the top of the board to the the bottom and collecting at the bottom and having bare tree's and snow collecting at the bottom with snowmen at the bottom of the board
then in spring have sheep walking at the bottom ect ect

ok because i once found the script for falling snow so if you want i could see if i could find it and pm u it
and on the website i found the script said you can change the picture of whats falling and the speed it falls at and the frequency and i used it on one of my sites wich i no longer have

NM thats fine mate but what I meant was I don't think I will add that I avoid using JS on my sites for a couple reasons, one is browser compatibility, two deals with users that connect to us using dial-up. In my opinion I actually have way to much JS on the site already

SMF by default uses a bit of JS to process things and I use some simple JS mouse-overs and other tidbits on the main site. Its not that I don't personally like the idea, I do, I just don't want to be arsed to mess with it or think it is something I should do

I might be interested in doing it on a holiday though, but that would be just ONE day and then we are back to what holidays should we do again and I'm sure that would upset someone eventually, we'll see later, its kinda like the templates thing also, no time to do this right now, primarily because I would have to customize it to my liking ...

I agree, the holidays would be hard, but theming the site for the months/seasons is a great idea.

Chaos can't remember where but there are ways around it, on my myspace page for sometime I had falling snow, it was something to do with top to bottom marquees.

I know that had no Javascript as it is banned on myspace!
